Donut Cocktail

This week on Dollar Store Drinks we make a cocktail for the Internet Police in exchange for a Get out of Jail Free card.

The Internet informed us we were getting altogether too respectable. The Apple Pie cocktail tasted like alcoholic apple newtons, the Green Tea Cocktail was downright respectably healthy, and the Tropical Cocktail tasted like something they’d serve at Sandals in Jamaica.

We hate to disappoint you.

That’s why this week we made a donut cocktail. It’s best drunk on a dare.

  • 1 mashed, flattened slice of white bread
  • 1 shot rum
  • 1/2 shot caramel syrup
  • Honey
  • Cinnamon Sugar Sprinkles

A plain cake donut is basically fried white bread with cinnamon sugar, right? Let’s keep pretending.

Use the rim of your glass to turn your flattened slice of bread into a sphere. Now, drizzle some honey into the bottom of the glass and tuck your bread down in there. Top it with the rum and caramel syrup, then sprinkle a little cinnamon sugar on top. This would actually work much better in an oversized shot glass. Chug it back, try not to gag, and go eat an actual donut as a chaser.
