This week on Dollar Store Drinks we show Snapple who has the right stuff with our green tea, honey and citron vodka goodness.
The high fructose corn syrup rampant in every dollar store food item was starting to turn my blood into a thick, sugary sludge. In order to clean it out, I decided this would be a good week to detox with some green tea and honey.
No one needs to know this recipe came from the dollar store. Honest. This drink is all about presentation. Imagine you’ve just finished a sweaty afternoon tennis match. It’s time to leave the court so Betty can flirt with her granddaughter’s ex-boyfriend, Mario, who everyone agrees more than earns his keep. You need something hydrating, refreshing and healthy. If you’re stuck watching Betty strutt her stuff, you need something alcoholic, too.
- 2 Shots Chilled Green Tea
- 1 Shot Citron Vodka
- 1/2 Shot Caramel Syrup (or slightly less)
- Honey
Artfully drizzle the interior of your glass with honey. Fill your mixer with ice then shake together the chilled green tea, citron vodka, and caramel syrup. Pour the mix into your honey lined glass, then sit back and relax. If you need to be more stealthy, triple the tea and pour everything into an iced tumbler.
