Every Indian restaurant is required by law to stock Chicken Tikka Masala

You know you’re in for an authentic Indian experience when the lunch buffet includes goat curry with bones in. Priyaa is the fourth Indian Buffet I’ve tried in the St. Louis Metro area and is hands down the most pleasantly spicy. Heck, even the requisite chicken tikka masala had a pleasantly spicy bite. I’ve had enough mild curry in St. Louis that Priyaa’s selections delighted me. I…

Anis and Tandoori King battle it out for best Indian Restaurant in O'Fallon.

We’ve met the contenders. In one corner, Anis, in the other Tandoori King. Both have good reasons to be a contender, but as they say in Highlander, there can be only one. With a name like Hokkaido, I expected Japanese food. What I found was a massive all-you-can-eat Chinese buffet with an impressively large American dessert selection and a tiny, token corner of unlabeled, mediocre sushi. It was a study in contradictions: The friendly hostess gave way to a surly waitstaff. Well prepared Chinese food was contrasted with a badly done Hibachi grill. I left with incredibly mixed feelings.
